Do you build tables for commercial spaces?
Yes, we do! We can customize any of our furnishings to fit your exact needs. Our handcrafted pieces bring luxury, character, and edge to any commercial environment.
Do you take custom orders?
Absolutely—we specialize in custom-built tables. Every design on our website is made to order, and we’re happy to tailor the size, shape, or finish to fit your space. If you have a unique design in mind that’s not listed, just reach out. That said, we do reserve the right to pass on designs that don’t align with our aesthetic or standards.

How much is it to ship my custom table?
We exclusively rely on private shippers for our delivery services. The majority of these shippers are independent drivers who may require help unloading substantial items, such as tabletops and bench tops, into your home upon arrival. It's important to note that they won't be responsible for setting up the delivered items.
The driver will reach out to you in advance, providing details about the scheduled delivery time and day based on their availability. Therefore, we kindly ask for your flexibility in accommodating their schedule. Once the item is in the hands of the driver, it becomes their responsibility. Should any issues arise upon delivery, please inform the driver promptly to arrange for a return or further discussion with us.

$250 flat rate. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

$500 flat rate. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.
All our dining tables will arrive disassembled. Not to worry, we've provided the hardware and simple instructions for you to easily put it back together in minutes!
I live in Michigan, can I pickup my furniture?
Absolutely! If you're in Michigan you can save on shipping and get it sooner! Most of our local customers prefer to pickup their furniture at no cost. Just come on over to our place in Hartland, Michigan with your truck, blankets, straps, and some muscle (real wood furniture is heavy) and we’ll get you taken care of.
What is your furniture warranty and return policy?
We offer a 3-Year Limited Time Warranty. Because our furniture is made-to-order, we do not accept returns.
Our Limited Warranty applies to furniture purchased from House of Timber online and covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period.
During the Warranty Period, House of Timber will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. House of Timber will either repair furniture at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts. The Warranty Period for furniture purchased from House of Timber is 3 years from the date of purchase.
This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by: conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship. To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.
Will I need to assemble my table?
Yes. All our dining tables will come disassembled. Not to worry, we've provided the hardware and simple instructions for you to easily put it back together in minutes! This makes it easier for you to pickup and carry it into your home and for our drivers if you decide to have it delivered. A wrench is all you will need.
Do you build chairs for the tables?
At the moment, we don’t build chairs—we focus on handcrafted benches that are designed to pair perfectly with our tables.
Many of our customers choose benches for their clean look, flexibility, and ability to maximize seating, all while matching the same craftsmanship as our tables.
Do you have any tables completed in your shop that we can come by and see?
Sorry we don't. To free up space in the shop for our next order, once we complete a dining table set it immediately gets wrapped and boxed then picked up or shipped out.
Do you have a showroom where I can see your tables?
We do not have a showroom, as each piece is made to order in our Michigan workshop. We work with clients nationwide and offer curated wood sample kits so you can confidently choose your finish from home.
We’re always happy to provide additional photos and guidance—so you can move forward with complete confidence knowing exactly what to expect.
What type of finish do you use on the wood?
We finish our oil-based stains with a water-based polyurethane that provides exceptional durability and a smooth, matte appearance. Our Cotton White Oak is a Rubio Monocoat finish—a natural, VOC-free hardwax oil that’s both highly durable and easy to maintain.
What hardwoods do you offer in your custom tables and furniture?
All of our tables are crafted from solid American hardwoods, including Cherry, White Oak, and Walnut. Many of our table bases are made from a different hardwood, with Poplar being our preferred choice, and are finished to complement the tabletop, adding a distinctive touch unique to our craftsmanship. For a premium upgrade, your table base can be made from the same hardwood as your tabletop.
Can I see wood samples before ordering?
Yes—our curated wood sample kit allows you to see and feel our finishes in your home. Each kit includes hand-finished samples and the cost is credited back toward your furniture order. You can order it right here.
Do you do furniture restoration?
We don’t offer furniture restoration services, but if you’re looking for a beautiful new custom hardwood dining table, we’d love to help bring your vision to life!
