We make every effort to ensure that our Terms and Conditions of Business are as easy to understand as possible. However, if you should have any queries concerning the Conditions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Pricing & Ordering

Our pricing is clear and upfront, outlining our base prices for each table model and other furniture but also showing you our additional costs for any optional upgrades. When you place your custom order directly through the website the price will adjust according to your custom details and reflect the total due at that time.

You are always welcome to contact us prior to placing your order to confirm your pricing, so please let us know if we can help!

Payment Terms

To secure your spot in our production pipeline, full payment is required for your custom furniture at the time of placing your order.

Order Changes

You can change your order anytime prior to receiving your 7 day getting started email. We can best accommodate these changes if you contact us before your 7 day notice — that way we can be sure to have the materials needed to keep you on schedule.

Cancellations

You can cancel your order anytime prior to receiving your 7 day getting started email for a full refund. Since each table is made to order we cannot accept cancellations after we've notified you 7 days prior before your start date, as your custom piece has been scheduled into our production pipeline, labor and materials for your order have been ordered and stocked, and the cost of constructing your custom piece is underway.

Refund Policy

Because our furniture is made-to-order, we do not accept returns.

Lead Time

All of our tables and furniture are made to order in our shop. Lead times usually range between 8-10 weeks. This represents the time we will take ordering and sorting materials, crafting your custom furniture, and getting ready to ship or pickup. Please note that given the nature of made to order production, lead times may vary depending on current order volume, which makes it very difficult for us to guarantee delivery and pickup dates.

Pickup & Delivery

Free local pickup

If you're in Michigan you can save on shipping and get it sooner! Most of our local customers prefer to pickup their furniture at no cost. Just come on over to our place in Hartland, Michigan with your truck, blankets, straps, and some muscle (real wood furniture is heavy) and we’ll get you taken care of.

Delivery timeframe

We use private shippers for all our deliveries. Most are independent drivers who will need assistance unloading the larger pieces (table tops and bench tops) into your home once it arrives; however, they will not set it up.

The driver will call prior to delivery and let you know when your delivery time and day will be based on his schedule, so please be flexible. Once the item is in the drivers hands, it is his responsibility. If something is wrong when the shipment arrives, please notify the driver to schedule a return or discussion with us.

In Michigan

$300 flat rate. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

Throughout the U.S.*

$600 flat rate. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

*Currently, the shipping cost to California, Oregon, and Washington is $800.

Assembly

All our tables will arrive disassembled. Not to worry, we've provided the hardware and simple instructions for you to easily put it back together in minutes!

Warranty

Our Limited Warranty applies to furniture purchased from House of Timber online and covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period.

During the Warranty Period, House of Timber will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. House of Timber will either repair furniture at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts. The Warranty Period for furniture purchased from House of Timber is 3 years from the date of purchase.

This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by: conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship. To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.

Customer Satisfaction

At House of Timber, we want to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. We are building you a beautiful piece of furniture that is intended to create years of lasting memories and conversations! Our tables and furniture are solidly and uniquely made of real wood. By purchasing a House of Timber table (or any custom piece) you understand our rustic nature, and the inability to create two tables alike.

By making a purchase with House of Timber, you are agreeing to the detailed specifications as stated on your invoice. It is understood and expected that you fully understand the custom details of your order. If your order is received and does not match the details of your order (as stated on your invoice) we are happy to make the adjustments required to meet the specifics of your order free of charge. If you are unhappy with your order even though it matches the details of your order (as stated on your invoice) there will be an adjustment fee plus any other applicable fees including a pickup and delivery fee, to meet your desired changes.
